Parking


The ComXchange has a parking lot preconfigured that allows for 8 parking slots.  You can use BLF buttons with a value of a slot number to directly transfer and pickup parked calls or you can use a park button to send a call to the parking lot extension 70 and the Clearly Parking app to retrieve calls.

Parking Lot Settings

Navigate to Core Configuration > Parking
  • Parking Lot Extension - Set to 70
  • Parking Lot Name - Set to Default Lot
  • Parking Slots - 71-78
  • Parking timeout - 300 seconds, this is the timeout in seconds that the call try to ring back to the original parker if not answered
  • Come Back to Origin - Set to yes, this will send the call back to the extension that parked the call if a call times out 
  • Destination -  Set to terminate Call > Hangup, a call will be routed to this destination If a parked call times out and the extension that parked the call is busy

Parking Keys

You can create a key for a User to press to send calls to the parking lot and to retrieve the calls using BLF buttons or you can use the Clearly Parking App and a Park button to send and retrieve the calls.   For more information about adding keys with clearly devices or endpoint manager see the Endpoint Configuration Guide.

Park using BLF buttons

Create a BLF value of the Parking slot for each slot you would like to have available to transfer, monitor, and pickup.   The BLF will light up when there is a caller parked on the line.  Many will have 2 Park buttons, one with the value of 71 and one with the value of 72.

Park using the Clearly Parking App
If you want to use the Clearly Parking app you will need a Park key and the key for set to Clearly Apps - Parking.  The park key will send calls to the parking lot and parked in the next available lot.   When a Call is parked the Clearly Parking key will light up to alert the User there is a parked call.  When the User presses the key they will be able to see the parked calls including the callers CallerID and will be able to pick the call up.
