Local four - party conferencing on Polycom SoundPoint IP450, 550, 650, and 670


To allow four-party conferencing for Polycom SoundPoint IP 450, 550, 560, 650, and 670 you need to add license to the device. This can be done at the branch, domain, division or the device level.

Set the following parameters of your phone from VCPs device, manage parameters page and re-sync the device.

License Path = [http://$(provisioningServer)/](http://$(provisioningServer)/)  
nway-conference = enable

After re-sync the device please check the current license from the phone.

Here are the steps to check your current license:

  • Press Menu key on the phone
  • Down arrow to Status and Select (check mark)
  • Down arrow until you see licenses then Select

You should see: Conference Management: 15-Mar-2022

NOTE: The License is free but only available to the Polycom model mentioned above (SoundPoint IP 450, 550, 560, 650, and 670).

Setting Up Conference Calls

To set up a conference call:

  1. Call the first party.
  2. Press or the Confrnc soft key to create a new call. The active call is placed on hold.
  3. Call the second party.
  4. When the second party answers, press or the Confrnc soft key again to join all parties in the conference.
  5. Press or the Confrnc soft key to add another party to the conference. The first and second party are put on hold.
  6. Call the third party.
  7. After the third party answers, press or the Confrnc soft key again to join all parties in the conference.
  8. Repeat steps 5 to 7 until you have added all intended parties.
