Adding Non Default Permissions

Manage announcements from Call Panel

  • By default users do not have permissions to view Announcements used in your IVRs and other places on the Phone System.
  • These announcements are controlled from the Client UI but you can add a permission to Users to let users re-record and manage these announcements from within Call Panel.
  • The permissions are already created on your system by default to let users view and manage Announcements but the permissions are not added to any Users or Permission Groups by default.
  • The 2 permissions that are created are;
    • announcements_read - Allows users to listen to all announcements but not change them.
    • announcements_write - Allows users to change all announcements.
  • To add this permission to either a Permission Group as documented here or to a User as a override of the Permission Group as documented here.

Manage Other Users Voicemail Messages

  • By default users have permission to manage their own Voicemail Messages. You can also grant a user permissions to manage other users Voicemail Messages from Call Panel

    • In our example we are going to setup permissions to let other users modify Voicemail Messages for Extension 5000 our Sales Voicemail Box.
  • Click the Add Permission button at the top
