Upload a Recording
You can Browse to a file or drag and drop a file into the Upload Recording section. You can upload a file in mp3 format and it will convert but for best results the file should use a format of WAV PCM Encoded, 16 bits, at 8000Hz. Once uploaded the the file will appear in the File List section.
Record in Browser
If you are accessing the ComXchange web GUI using HTTPS you will see the option to "Record in Browser" Section. You will likely need to grant permissions for the browser to use the microphone.
- Click on the red record button
- Accept permissions for the browser to use the microphone if prompted
- Click on the Square stop button when finished recording
- Click on Save Recording
- Enter a File Name and click on Save
- The recording will appear in the File List section
Record over an Extension
- In the Record over Extension section enter an extension number and press the call button
- The ComXchange will call the extension and record audio over the call
- When done recording hang up the call
- Enter a Name for the recording and click on Save
- The recording will appear in the File List section
Link to Feature Code
You can set a feature code to point to the recording by setting the Link to Feature Code to Yes. A numeric password can be added to protect access to the feature code.
Note: If the Hotel would like one of their employees to record the message you can upload a temporary file then link a feature code to the Recording so they can call the feature code to record over the recording at their convenience.
