ComX - Changing LAN IP Address


When Changing the LAN IP address on the ComXchange the Open VPN server bridge will overwrite the static ip address assigned to the LAN interface.  It is best to disable the Openvpn server then reboot the ComXchange before proceeding with the network change.

Disable Open VPN

Navigate to Admin > System Settings - Services

  1. Click on the the disable (X) button for the Open VPN service
  2. Reboot the server

Change the IP Address of the LAN interface 

Navigate to Admin > System Settings - Network Interfaces

  1. Click on the Edit icon action of the LAN interface
  2. Click on the Update & Restart button 
  3. Access the server with the new IP address

Make changes for other services

  1. If Applicable make changes the DHCP scope in  Admin > System Settings - DHCP
  2. If Applicable change the client networks allowed for NTP in Admin > System Settings - NTP
  3. Make Any needed IP Changes to the ClearlyIP Devices Module Settings     
  4. If you have any templates or layouts change any IP address information for the phones
  5. change the sip settings local networks in Admin > SIP Settings
  6. Make changes to any server IP information in the the gateway provisioning tool in Core Config > Gateway Provisioning
  7. If Applicable add any whitelist IP information in Admin > System Settings - Intrusion Detection
OpenVPN Changes
If you are using OpenVPN make the applicable changes to the configuration files for your new network
  1. edit /etc/openvpn/openvpn-startup and change the IP for the bridge and OpenVPN client IP range
  2. edit /etc/openvpn/server.conf
  3. enable openvpn in Admin > System Settings - Services
