Misc Applications - Feature Code "0"

Creating a Miscellaneous (Misc) Application will create a feature code that when dialed will route to a destination available in the ComXchange such as a Ring Group.  There is a preconfigured Misc Application called Operator created with feature code "0".  Dialing "0" routes the call to a preconfigured Ring Group named Operator which can ring the front desk phones if they are members of the Ring Group.  Misc Applictions can also be used for testing other routing options such as Call Flow Controls or IVR's before enabling them in production.  You can see a list of these codes in the Feature Codes Module.

Configure a Misc Application

Navigate to Advanced Configuration > Misc Applications
  • Click on the + Add Misc App Button
  • Description - Enter a Description for the Misc Application
  • Feature Code -  Enter the number to dial to use the feature code
  • Destination - Choose where the call placed dialing this feature code should be routed

Operator Misc Application for Feature Code 0

The Operator Misc Application pictured below is a preconfigured feature code of "0" that will dial the Front Desk Ring Group.  The Destination can be set to route to different destinations such as a Call Flow Control (Day Night Mode), or a Time Condition that automatically routes the calls to different destinations based on the time of day.
